Google Play 付費 App 7天鑑賞期爭議，導致 Google 和台北市政府為此槓上一年、Google 爽快斷絕台灣使用者購買付費 Android App 的權利。繼台北高等法院判 Google 勝訴且不必裁罰 100 萬之外，北市府近日與 Google 協商後表示不一定要透過法律途徑解決，讓台灣 Android 使用者購買付費 App 露出一陣曙光。
上個月 27 日 Google Play 付費 App 7天猶豫期爭議判決出爐，法院判 Google 勝訴，100萬裁罰也遭臺北高等行政法院判決撤銷，全案可再上訴至臺北最高行政法院。臺北高等行政法院判定中，表示 App 付費退款糾紛屬一般消費糾紛，主管機關無法介入，且台北市政府屬於地方政府、非「中央」主管機關，因此無權要求業者修改。判決書已經上線司法院法學資料檢索系統，有興趣的讀者可點此觀看完整判決書內容。
12 月 27 日判決出爐時，台北市政府法務局新聞稿表示收到判決書後將再次上訴，讓許多人認為購買付費 App 將再度無望、以及北市府花納稅人血汗錢打官司不公平。根據聯合晚報報導，台北市長郝龍斌在 7 日率相關首長與 Google 代表協商，已達成初步共識、有望達成和解。台北市長郝龍斌 8 日受訪時表示，在保障消費者權益前提下，並不必透過法律途徑解決，這意謂著北市府可能不會再上訴。
這則消息對於多數 Android 使用者、及 App 開發者聽這消息應該都是好消息，畢竟無法購買付費 App 不僅麻煩，也嚴重影響 App 開發者的生計。台灣 Google 公關經理則表示將持續與北市府溝通，但目前還沒定論，也無法預測何時能在 Google Play 購買付費 App。
